For lots of my boy’s birthdays, they would request the volcano cake. A chocolate cake baked in a mountain shaped pan that we found at a thrift store. We would frost it with chocolate icing and candy rocks. Then put canned cherry pie filling on the very top for the lava. Not only did it look cool, it was a delicious combination.
